Everyone has financial ups and downs in their life. The loss of a job, an unexpected medical bill or car repair, even a change in family status; the list is long and different for everyone. That is why the Crystal Lake Food Pantry is here to help you. For over 40 years, we have been here quietly helping to provide families with good nutritional food to help you stretch your income and round out your food budget. We know that is sometimes difficult to ask for help, but we have made our process simple and straight forward. What is our service area?
Our Service area is the boundaries for School District 47 and 155 which encompasses all of Crystal Lake, Cary and a portion of Lake in the Hills and Fox River Grove. If you don’t live within our service boundaries, we will locate a pantry closer to where you live.
On Your First Visit
On your first visit to the pantry, please bring any current month’s bill or your rental lease showing your current address and a photo ID. You will be asked to fill out a short application. You will shop the day you fill out your application. You will be provided with reusable bags, a resource sheet for help from other agencies in McHenry County, and an updated Food Truck list so that you can get extra food between visits to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
How often may I visit?
You may visit the Crystal Lake Food Pantry 2 times a month. You decide the days that work best for your family.
